It’s October and there’s a gentle shift in the seasons. The nights are drawing in and the evenings are cooler, making it the perfect time to create that warm and cosy glow that we love to embrace.
Here are some of our top tips to help you off to a fine start.
1. Don’t wait until it’s dark to light your candles
Candles provide a warming glowing when the season’s change and the nights are drawing in, but they can be equally beneficial first thing in the morning.
Try lighting a candle while enjoying your morning coffee, choosing a scent to uplift and energise like our Bay & Rosemary candle to prepare you for your day ahead.
2. Bring the outside in
We come up with most of our ideas while outdoors breathing in the crisp, fresh air! Connect with nature, take a stroll outdoors to reset and inspire.
As we move into Autumn there’s an abundance of beautiful textures and russet colours all created by Mother Nature herself. Forage for Pinecones, conkers & acorns which look great clustered together as a collection or as part of a stunning table centrepiece.
3. Choose candles made from 100% Natural Soy Wax
Soy wax is a natural vegetable wax created from the oil of soybeans, making it eco-friendly, renewable and sustainable.
Unlike paraffin wax candles, soy wax burns without producing any toxins into the air, providing you with a cleaner burn which makes it better for the environment and your health.

Instead of reaching for that indulgent hot chocolate we all know and love, why not relax with a nourishing, warming tonic to calm & restore the body and mind. (Don’t forget the cosy socks and a comfy blanket)!
Date & Cardamom Almond Milk
300ml almond milk
1 whole cardamom pod
5 Medjool dates, stones removed
1 cinnamon stick
Blend the almond milk with the cardamom and dates for 2 minutes and strain through a fine sieve.
Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat to a low simmer with the cinnamon stick for 5 minutes. Pour into mugs and enjoy.
